In 1975 Barbra was living in Oscoda with Ruth Manning. prior to that she spent some time down in Springfield Mo. at the house of prayer with Bill Brittin and his wife. In the summer of 75 Jill and I took a road trip with the Manning family and Barbra to Camp Dominion in northern Minnesota were Bill Brittin was scheduled to speak. the camp was owned and operated by Charles Schmidt and Art Kats. We camped in tents Shawn was 6 weeks old at the time.Barbra and Ruth thought it would be better for Shawn to sleep with them in the bigger tent being the motherly types that they were. this was our first born and Jill was very reluctant to give him up even for a minute, but she submitted to the wisdom of her elders. .
10 years later I went to Africa with Cecil and Mavis, Burt Asbil, Charles Stanley and Barbra and I . they sent us out two by two, Barbra and I were paired together, I will never forget this meeting I think we were in Lagos, all of us were together for this meeting,. when the preaching was complete we had an alter call and the whole front of the building filled with people who wanted prayer.Barbra began to pray over this one lady and the lady dropped to the floor and began to slither across the room like a snake . Barbra chased her down and stood her on her feet. She commanded the spirit that had a hold on the woman to release her. Then she declared a divorce over this woman who and been given to this spirit by her father when she was just a child Nobody told Barb this she just knew it by the spirit.
Again some years later we were with Barbra ans Sharon in Jamaica it was like coming home to see my family.
Just recently I had an opportunity to speak with Barbra on the phone when Jerry Gadwa went to Nebraska to visit she began to speak to me remembering Africa, our travels together, and
what a wonderful time we had together in the Lord.Barbra was very discerning, a mother to the Church, A sister to me and a great friend..She certainly ran the Race that was set before her with all she had she will be missed.
Until we meet again
